This is a super simple browser-based application that pads the list on the right side. You can right-pad any list with one or more items to any length. It supports multiple list formats that you can adapt to using smart options for matching the item separators. Additionally, in the options, you can specify the new size of the padded list and enter all items that will be used to fill the end part of the list. Created by list geeks from team Browserling.
This online utility pads a list on the right side by adding new items at the end of the list and extending the given list to the specified length. To right-pad a list, load it into the input field and then tell the program more about the list format you're using, so that the program can separate your list into individual items. Usually, the items are separated by a single character (such as a semicolon or a space). In this case, specify this character in the split option. If you have a column list (such as a todo list), then use the special symbol "\n", which will split the items one per line. If there are several characters (or they change), you can match them using a regular expression. Once this is done, the program will proceed to right-padding the list. In the middle block of options, you can specify the total number of items you need in the list and in the field below, enter an item (or items, one per line) used for padding. The program will take these items and add the necessary count at the end of the list one by one (periodically repeating the items if needed). The padded list can be copied or downloaded from the output field with a single click on the Save-as button. The padded list can also be customized by entering a new separating character for its items in the last block of options. In case the list contains empty (invisible) items, you can remove them via the "Remove Blank Items" option. Listabulous!
In this example, we're making a shopping list for a birthday party. We really love sweets so we filled our list with 14 different candies. As we were planning our budget, we realized we could have some extra money left, so we decided to add even more Snickers and Mars bars to the list. Not to forget about this purchase, we padded the list from the end with Snickers and Mars candies to make the total list length be 18 items long.
In this example, we are packing for camping. We have already compiled a list of 12 things we need to take with us, but in case there is still free space in the suitcase, we would like to fill it with more T-shirts. To pad the list with T-shirts, we separate the existing items with a regular expression "/\.\s*/" (that matches periods and any whitespaces that follow them), and we enter the word "T-shirt" in the right-pad item option. As we think we might have space for up to 16 items, we pad a list on the right to 16 items.
In this example, we have uploaded a to-do list for the day. To make sure the whole day is packed, we extend the list by a few extra things for the evening. We add two interesting activities for the evening: "read a book" and "walk the dog". We right-pad the to-do list to the maximum until it reaches 9 points.
